Only recently has there been a buzz about psychological and narcissistic abuse.  But for decades there was this idea that physical abuse was the only form of violence.  If the victim doesn’t have black eyes or bruises and cuts then there are many who downplay or minimize the devastating affects of what is now being termed as Narcissistic abuse.
